Dr Cornejo offers a multitude of nonsurgical orthopedic medicine and sports medicine treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal pain and injuries. He has worked in a major orthopedic hospital in Philadelphia practicing sports medicine and nonsurgical medical orthopedic care. Even though sometimes surgery is necessary, many of today’s injuries may be treated through orthopedic medicine including osteopathic manipulation, pain management, medical acupuncture, and physical therapy. If surgery is needed, we will refer you to an orthopedic surgeon.

Even though, some issues are treated with one modality or procedure, some more complicated issues may require more than one specified treatment. For example some severe back pain conditions, may be treated with a combination of manual therapy and acupuncture. Dr Cornejo believes in this combination approach to achieve better results when needed.

Even though we offer relief for pain from acute and chronic conditions, we are not pain management specialist physicians. In those cases that do not respond to our treatments, we may refer to pain management specialists for further evaluation and treatment as needed including pain medications and/or injections such as epidural injections among others.
